Crossings

Rogue Retreat Crossings is an innovative urban campground with a 150-bed capacity, offering a structured pathway for individuals experiencing homelessness to achieve stability and self-sufficiency. This unique facility operates through three distinct phases: tents, non-congregate shelter, and a village.

In the initial phase, residents are accommodated in tents, providing immediate and safe shelter. This stage serves as the first step in stabilizing their situation, allowing them to access essential services and support. The focus here is on addressing urgent needs and beginning the process of rebuilding their lives.

The second phase transitions residents to non-congregate shelters, offering more privacy and security. This stage is crucial for those who need a stable environment to continue working towards their goals. During this time, residents receive increased support and resources, fostering a sense of independence and responsibility.

The final phase involves moving into a village setting, where residents live in small, individual units and are required to have 30 days clean and sober. This village environment encourages community building and peer support, providing a sense of belonging and mutual encouragement. Peer support plays a pivotal role throughout all phases, as individuals who have experienced homelessness and/or addiction themselves offer guidance, empathy, and motivation to their peers.

Rogue Retreat Crossings, through its phased approach and emphasis on peer support, creates a nurturing and empowering environment. It helps individuals transition from homelessness to stability, fostering hope and resilience every step of the way.
