Redwood Inn Ribbon Cutting

In a heartfelt expression of gratitude, we extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to the realization of The Redwood project. From Richards Construction and Steve Ennis, to Kevin Wilson of ORW Architecture, and Andrew Owens, each played an integral role in bringing this vision to life. Hard work and dedication have not only built physical spaces but have also created a haven where lives are transformed.

The Redwood, nestled within our community, stands as a beacon of hope and healing. This remarkable facility boasts 21 medical respite rooms on the ground floor and 25 studio apartments upstairs, providing essential housing solutions tailored to meet diverse needs.

Since its recent completion, The Redwood has swiftly become a sanctuary for those seeking refuge and support. Currently, 12 of the medical respite rooms are occupied, accommodating individuals who have found solace here. Notably, through partnerships with ODHS and the Kelly Shelter, several families have transitioned from temporary housing to a stable environment at The Redwood.

Upstairs, 8 leased studio apartments include spaces for families, fostering a sense of community and belonging. At present, The Redwood is home to 47 individuals, including 15 children, offering them more than just shelter but a place to heal, reunite, and thrive.

Reflecting on its impact, The Redwood’s influence reaches far beyond its walls. It embodies a commitment to compassionate care and community welfare, making a profound difference in the lives of those it serves. Witnessing firsthand the transformative power of what we affectionately call the “secret sauce,” we are reminded of the resilience and strength within our community.

Recently, we celebrated a significant milestone with a successful ribbon-cutting and open house event on June 7, marking the beginning of a new chapter for The Redwood. As we continue our journey, we are inspired by the stories of hope and recovery that unfold within these walls, reaffirming our dedication to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all.

Together, we are building more than just a building; we are fostering a community where everyone has a place to call home and are empowered to strengthen the quality of their lives.
