Thanks to the generosity of a local donor, Rogue Retreat has installed solar panels at the Crossings shelter site, bringing sustainable energy and increased comfort to our guests. The donated panels, still with 60% of their useful life remaining, came with the framing needed to securely fasten them to our Foldum shelters in the village phase of the site.
This project is already making a meaningful impact. Not only will it help reduce our power bills, but the panels also provide valuable shade for our guests during the hot summer months – a win-win for comfort and cost savings. Most importantly, this move supports our commitment to more environmentally conscious practices by harnessing clean energy for the services we already provide.
We’re incredibly grateful for this donation and proud to take another step forward in building a future that’s both sustainable and supportive for those we serve.
