A Letter from Our Development Director: Stephanie Deneke

Dear Friends of Rogue Retreat,

At Rogue Retreat, while we use housing and shelter as vital tools, our true focus is on creating programs that transition individuals back into employment and permanent housing.

Hope Streets Job Trainee Program This part-time, paid program not only helps clean up local businesses and the City of Medford, including the Greenway, but it also equips our participants with recent job history and essential job skills through our partnership with WorkSource. Local businesses are invited to partner with Hope Streets for contracted cleanup and landscaping services, helping to expand our reach and positive impact in the community.

Hope Kitchen Internship Program This 8-week program provides hands-on training in a commercial kitchen setting, including obtaining a food handler’s card. With a 100% success rate, every participant has secured full-time employment after completing the program. This success has also enabled us to launch Hope Kitchen Catering, a new venture that will further our mission and provide additional opportunities for our participants. You can find more information about Hope Kitchen Catering in the newsletter insert.

These programs are more than just opportunities—they are lifelines that empower our participants with the skills, confidence, and support needed to rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to our community. We acknowledge that no one does this work alone, and it is only through the collective effort of our community that we can continue to make a difference. For more information about our programs and how you can give help to support our mission, please visit our new website at RogueRetreat.org

Thank you for your unwavering support of Rogue Retreat. Together, we are transforming lives and building a stronger, more resilient community.

Warm regards,

Stephanie Deneke
